Parent & Family Assistant is built by Moshe, a father of two and a member of the parent committee in both of his children's classes. By day, Moshe is a senior software specialist with more than 20 years of experience building large production systems.
The idea came from home. School activities, exams, trips, and birthday invitations were spread across three or four WhatsApp groups per class, on top of each family's own calendar, and something was always about to be missed.
Many of the ideas came from Moshe's own kids. Part of the work was done together with his son Ido, who is a tech kid in his own right.
Parent & Family Assistant gives each class or family one shared space. When one person adds an activity, everyone in that space sees it on the calendar and gets the reminder. It works the same at home: a family space keeps parents and kids on one calendar. It is free on the web and on Android.
